How much does courier from Nepal to Japan cost per kg?
A 1 kg parcel costs Rs. 4,000, 2 kg Rs. 5,000, 3 kg Rs. 6,000 and 4 kg Rs. 7,000. From 5–9 kg the rate is Rs. 1,500 per kg, from 10–19 kg Rs. 750 per kg, and a full 20 kg box is Rs. 675 per kg. Boxes of 10 kg and above have a Rs. 1,500 customs handling charge.
How much does it cost to send documents to Japan?
Documents up to 0.5 kg cost Rs. 2,500 and reach Japan in 4–6 days. Heavier documents are charged at the normal parcel rate.
How many days does a parcel take from Nepal to Japan?
Parcels normally take 10–14 business days after dispatch. Documents are faster, at 4–6 days.
What is the maximum weight in one box to Japan?
20 kg per box. If you have more than 20 kg, we pack it into a second box.
Can I send sukuti or meat achar to Japan?
No. Japan strictly restricts meat, so sukuti, meat achar and all meat products cannot be sent.
Can I send mango achar or timur chhop to Japan?
Yes, as long as the jar or packet has a proper product label. Vegetarian achar without a label may be stopped by Japanese customs.
Can I send garlic, onion, potato or rice to Japan?
No. Fresh vegetables such as garlic, onion and potato, and rice (chamal), cannot be sent to Japan.
Can I send ghee, cooking oil and honey to Japan?
Yes. They must be labelled and packed in small, narrow-mouth bottles. Each bottle has an extra charge of Rs. 500.
Can I send coconut or jewelry to Japan?
No. Coconut and coconut products cannot be sent, and no jewelry of any kind is accepted for Japan, including gold, silver and imitation jewelry.
Can I send medicines to Japan?
Yes, with a valid doctor's prescription and purchase bill, up to three months' supply.
Do you pick up parcels from home?
Yes. Pickup is free anywhere inside Kathmandu Valley. You can also drop your parcel at our office in Khasibazar, Kathmandu.
Do you ship from Japan to Nepal?
No. We only send parcels from Nepal to Japan.
