Food Rules for Japan
Japan has very strict food and quarantine rules. The safest food to send is food in a sealed pack with a printed label.
Achar
Vegetarian achar such as mango achar and timur chhop can be sent if the jar or packet has a proper label. Meat achar cannot be sent.
Ghee, oil and honey
Allowed in labelled, small, narrow-mouth bottles that are tightly sealed. Each bottle costs Rs. 500 extra.
Rice, vegetables and meat
Rice, fresh vegetables (garlic, onion, potato) and all meat, including sukuti, cannot be sent to Japan.
