The price depends on the total weight of your box. Small parcels up to 4 kg have a fixed price, and bigger parcels are charged per kg. The heavier the box, the lower the price per kg.

Did you notice? A 10 kg box (Rs. 9,000) costs Rs. 4,500 less than a 9 kg box (Rs. 13,500), and a 20 kg box (Rs. 15,000) costs Rs. 750 less than a 19 kg box (Rs. 15,750). The rate drops at 10 kg and again at 20 kg.
4 Ways to Pay Less for Courier to Japan
- Fill the box to 10 kg. If your parcel weighs 7–9 kg, adding a little more to reach 10 kg makes the total cheaper.
- Go from 19 kg to 20 kg. At 20 kg the rate falls to Rs. 675 per kg.
- Share a box. If friends or family are sending to the same address in Japan, one 20 kg box gives the lowest price per kg.

Other Costs to Know
Bottles of ghee, oil or honey
Each bottle adds Rs. 500. For example, a 10 kg box with 2 bottles of ghee costs Rs. 9,000 + Rs. 1,000 = Rs. 10,000.
Japanese import duty or consumption tax
Every parcel is checked by Japanese customs. Depending on the value of the goods, the receiver in Japan may be asked to pay import duty or consumption tax.
